Details
Gas-fired CCPPs generally utilize heat-recovery steam generators or HRSGs. The operation and chemical treatment
of HRSGs in power generation is often more complex than their coal-fired counterparts or industrial HRSGs. The
reasons for this include: daily cycling and multiple fast start-ups, multiple drum pressures, duct burner firing, poor
deaeration systems, poor quality condensate returns and cascading blowdown, among other factors.
